my first seawatch of spring and it was colder than the one i did in winter. a close flock of 4 avocets was the highlight. 13 blackwits in 2 flocks was also notable.

an out of place avocet swimming in the middle of the lake at west rise and 3 white wags on the side.
a white wagtail at west rise. a little ringed plover and 3 scandinavian rock pipits on the meanders at the cuckmere. 6 jack snipes and 2 bearded tits at newhaven.
