i did juv ylg's to death 10 years ago but enjoyed the novelty of these confiding birds in eastbourne recently

fun up the river. thin lips on lures. bit lethargic on the birding front, wouldn't mind some decent seawatching conditions now. only thing of note lately a couple of ylg's coming to bread at prince's park.

when gulls are up close you lose a lot of what makes them look good, but still these ylg's were the closest i've had them in the uk.

around 30 egrets, 22 dunlin, 4 whimbrel, common sand, ringed plover and blackwit down the cuckmere. green sand over peacehaven. it's all go.
