just back from a week in penwith, a non birding hol but still managed to jam a black kite - spotted whilst driving near the cottage i was staying in (i've since found out i wasn't the original finder tho). squeezed in one quick fishing session pulling out a few small pollock. weather was great.

there's bloody millions of these things at west rise at the moment. this one landed on my shirt.

sand martins at west rise - spring is over, it's autumn. green sand heard at midnight down the cuckmere. last week i had a cream spot tiger, a new species for me.

with the still evening yesterday i went for a look in abbot's wood. nightjars were disappointing but mammals were good, nearly trod on 4 badger cubs, scared the shit out of me (wish i'd had camera to hand) and a roe deer mother and baby came out on the path.
