so many auks being washed up. and in good condition too. normally you'd expect them to be oiled but these seem to just be starving. some bodies have clearly been bobbing along the sea a while tho and had most of their flesh picked off by gulls. thankfully no other species have been hit so hard. look out for a white chalky substance on the beach, it might be palm oil which is dangerous to dogs - colin had a lucky escape after he took some down.
