quick session with the rvdarters - the buffalo weren't too pleased to be sharing their wallowing pool. maybe get some better flight pics if i get another opportunity

on 21st a redshank, 2 lrp, 6 common sands, 8 whimbrel and 19 dunlin down the cuckmere. 3 garganey at rodmell.

recent records for west rise:

23rd 1 garganey, 1 green sand, 1 greenshank, 1 snipe, 4 dunlin, 7 teal, and 18 tufted duck
21st 1 wood sand (patch tick), 1 garganey, 1 greenshank, 2 common sands, 2 snipe, 2 lrp, 6 dunlin and 6 green sands. amongst the creche of herring gulls were juveniles of yellow-legged, lesser black-back, great black-back and common gulls. at least 4 territorial male red-veined darters on the recently flooded eastern pool
19th 1 greenshank, 2 dunlin, 2 redshank, 2 green sand, and 5 lrp
17th 1 green sand, 1 greenshank, 2 lrp, 3 dunlin, 10 herons, first common gull and juvenile med gull
16th 1 snipe, 1 lrp, 2 dunlin, 2 green sands, 2 greenshanks and 9 egrets
15th 1 whimbrel, 1 lrp, 2 green sands and 4 greenshanks
14th 1 lrp, 2 greenshanks and 4 green sands
12th 1 green sand, 2 lrp and 4 greenshanks
11th 1 ruff, 1 lrp, 1 common sand and 2 greenshanks
10th rain did the business with a nice mixed flock comprising 2 ruff, 8 greenshanks and 2 redshanks (another 2 patch ticks there) plus the first juvenile yellow-legged gull was seen.
